Leadership

Rebecca Lord, Assistant Principal, St. Barnabas Catholic School

Becca Lord

Principal

Ms. Lord has been an educator and a leader at St. Barnabas Catholic School for over ten years. She started as a first-grade teacher before stepping into the role of assistant principal, where she served for three years before being named the school’s principal. In 2022, Ms. Lord was thrilled to be able to witness and celebrate the graduation of her very first class of first-graders!

A proud Temple University graduate, Ms. Lord was part of the Maguire Foundation Scholarship Program. She earned her reading specialist master’s degree at St. Joseph’s University. In 2020, she was recognized by Independence Mission Schools (IMS) for her many contributions to St. Barnabas Catholic School with the prestigious St. John Neumann Teacher Impact Award.

Ms. Lord is currently a Hernandez Fellow with the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) and is taking graduate courses to better support English as a New Language (ENL) for her students.

While she will always cherish her days as a first-grade teacher, as a school leader Ms. Lord loves being able to work with all St. Barnabas scholars in every grade level throughout the school.
